Schooling and Life in Chendur

Having my first year of schooling finished, We had to move from Trichy to one of the lands of Murugan Temple, Chendur town, to stay along with my grandpa(father's father) family. The family has many a siblings of my father and we 4 stayed in a small room.

Those three years of schooling were all about my poor learning, daily walks to school, lunch at home and of-course about my first favourite guru - 'Meena' teacher.
Some days or the other, my dad used to drop me in school in his cycle. One day, I was so adamant to go to school, but my dad made me sit at his cycle back, drove all the way to school despite myself crying throughout. Then he made me get down, caught my hand and pulled me along to the school gate. I was still adamant to step in. My dad asked me in anger, "Padikkaama, enna maadu maekka poriyaa.!". Immediately I stopped crying and said those three heart-touching words "AAM PORAEN PAA.!".
It was indeed very heart-touching for my dad, he immediately left my hand. I thought he would take me home. Apram thaan periya aappu vachanga my daddy. "orae mithi", I fell down. . then he started beating me black and blue. I was crying like hell, then came my life saviour 'Meena' teacher and took me in, consoling my dad. From that moment, I started liking her much and obeyed what all she said. She was indeed very friendly and helping, taught well too. I was so consistent in my studies that time ;-)(Once I failed in a month, immediately next month I got first rank)
There were several other things in those three years, that are always memorable.!
1) Dinners in the terrace with my aunt, hearing her interesting tales.
2) Non-stop playing with other small kids in our family in the backyard.
3) Evening walks along the beach.
4) A day when the mango turned red which I was eating (Tooth fell, blood came)
5) Mom's sweet care and affection.
6) Festival time celebrations.
It was a bit family time when i finished my second standard, so we 4 had to shift to TIRUNELVELI, my favourite place ever.
