Oru thevathai paarkum naeram ithu..!

As said, It was time for us to move to yet another new location, to a new house and back to the Railway Quarters..!

Before 2 to 3 days of shifting, myself and my dad went to that quarters to have a look at our new house and get set a few things ready before shifting. My Dad was busy inside the house with the labours who had come for electrical and plumbing work and he was assisting them. I was standing outside and gazing at the surroundings around my house. At the backyard, there was a bushy garden like environment - at the right side of the house, there was a small park. Our house was stood at the first and so all other houses occupied in the front and on the left side.

Just outside, in the house left to the one opposite to ours, I saw three people sitting on those way-stairs. Mom and her two daughters. And one among those two daughters was none other than herself. That was the first time I saw her same for her too.

"Muzhumathi avalathu mugamaagum, malligai avalathu manamaagum -- " intha paattavathu manasula vanthrukkanum.
Aanaa athuvum varla..! :-( (why??.........)

Ithukku ellaathukkum maela - en manasula entha withamaana different thoughtsum varla ;-) ;-) - Love or lust or anythin else. I looked at all of them and her too just like I had seen many a strangers in my life. So NO 'LOVE AT FIRST SIGHT' for me...! :-) :-( ;-)
Then My dad came out from the house and we were about to leave to the apartment house. Out of thirstiness, My dad and myself went to their house and asked for water. Her mom greeted us, enquired about us and gave water to drink. We had our throats  and left. Still to come 'The Best among the 'Memorable'' in the next post. Till then, take care. Will be rite back soon ;-)

A Dull Apartment Life..!!

(First of all, whatever I say I know it would not suffice for my late blog posting(laziness the key delayer). Despite joinin the 232's and 155's in that list(cool buddies ;-)), I really appreciate the 158's that do post in their blog regularly.. ;-) )
When I was about to complete my sixth standard, My father got transfer to Madurai. No one in my family showed much of interest to leave from a lovable city of Tirunelveli to a hard-packed city (so called Madurai ;-)). My Dad decided to stay in Tirunelveli itself and rejected the offer saying 'Enna Tirunelvelikkae Halwa vaa??'(:-P). The Officers finally gave permission to stay back in Tirunelveli itself but with a small aappu, 'U must quit the quarters if u had to stay back in Tirunelveli':-(
So We had to move to 'Vannarpettai'(chennaila mattum illa enga oorlayum vannaarpet irukku), another place in the same city. We decided to stay in an apartment that is near to the Bypass road and also with a walkable distance to my school. Actually I was in my bigma house in a town in villupuram district, when my parents shifted to the new house. I had to return from der to our new house itself on a night around 10. Having spent all those previous years of my life in quarters and simple houses, this new well-build house was a great sight for me and I simply liked it a lot.
It was that time on my 7th standard when I got my first bicycle. My Dad bought it as a surprise for me and I was indeed happy. I went to school in my bicycle and always it was a jolly ride. Schooling was as normal it could be for anyone. Some special moments - - On my 7th I was practising karate in school and even got prize for that. On my 8th or 9th standard I guess - -Yoga classes were conducted in my school and trust me, i got the first prize. Evenings are spent with either cricket or football in the apartment basement and it was always fun - Mostly shuttle-cock badminton(one of my favourites) was played, my father used to give me a good company. I still could not remember why I went for tuition classes on my 9th standard. (but I remember that the teacher who taught me 'Maths' was pretty. ;-)).My Dad bought his bike (Hero honda splendour) when I was in 9th standard and I enjoyed his thrilling first ride along the main road. Many a days me and my dad would go to a ground for running/exercising.He used to advice me a lot in taking care of my small body (olungaa kaetrunthaa ippa naan ivlo leanaa irunthrukka maattaen ;-)).
After my 9th standard, we had to move to railway quarters again, this time in nearby Palayamkottai. (Dai evlavu thadava thaan da orae oorla veedu maathuva da apdinu neenga kaetkrathu nyaayam thaan - but what 2 do?? )
Next post --- (Oru thevathai paarkum naeram ithu..! :-)) Catch u soon..!!

ChildHood in a New City-II

Moving to yet another new location, near the very same railway station I must say it was a different kind of environment. A house in the first floor of the 4-housed building amidst many in that part of railway-quarters had a lot of vacant places both behind and in-front of the house. It was enough spacious for us. The dark evenings could be well spent either enjoying the breeze or have a game of cricket amidst the new friends.
The new home was the place where I bought my first ever cricket bat ('Wills' is the brand I guess so). I used to spend the late evening hours after school with a warm play of cricket. Many a days I would not accept after I had got out, would get angry and throw the bat somewhere. (Sooner or later, my first bat broke in 3 to 4 months). St.Francis Xavier's School was different to me in lot many ways from the simple lunch style to the morning's assembly style. I had admired those with passion and a bit of shock.Me and my sis had to walk about 0.5km from our house to the school-bus stop, which is in-front of the railway station itself. My Dad used to go for army camp training to Bangalore at that time, twice an year. The training will be for about 30-40 days at a stretch for my dad and on the day  he returns home, me and my sis will be in school. Our dad used to come to stop on the very same day to pick up both of us and we both would be delighted a lot to see him after many days. All these - - - Kisses, Smiles and affection - -would fill those moments. very touching and memorable.

In my school too, I met with a lot many new people, tried friendly with a few, loved being friendly with a few, hated the nature of a few, fought with few, But nothing could be much memorable when compared to the friendship that I had with my first friend-girl. Ya, It was 'Divya'. It was my fifth standard. Boys and girls used to sit together and it was written in my head that I had to sit with her. It was a new experience, learning together with a girl - eating together with a girl in the same classroom and everything around. Many a time, teachers would ask us to learn in class and would ask questions in the same period and many a time, we would stand good answering well, amidst d many people in the class. It was moving on well, till that day arrived. I came a bit late one fine day and to my shock found her crying a lot. She did not utter any reason to me, but when the teacher asked she replied 'It was all because of Ranjith'. ??????? WTH? I was in ultimate shock, I did not know why she had said the same (Till this day). I sat in another place that day unknowing what would happen the next day. Next day came, I heard the news that 'Divya has left our school'. (Nothing saying- I was shocked and confused why she quoted me as the reason for crying).
It all happens in the game of life. I lost contact of her for almost 8 years from that year. (She would come back in my next 3rd or 4th post -I guess)..! :-)

New ChildHood in a new City

First of all, sorry for posting a bit late. (Bayangra busy, project works apdinu sonnaa nambavaa poreenga). Let me move on from wher I had left.

Ya, I was 7 that time and we got to shift to my favourite town ever, the evergreen 'Tirunelveli' - The land of greenery, the landmark of a great temple , the place where the very famous "iruttu kadai 'Halwa'", got it's birth! On the night when we shifted things from Chendur to Nellai, it was me and my father who moved on in the same truck that carried our household things. My mom and sis came to our new home, the next day. The new home was one among the railway quarters very near to the railway station. Many a houses wer there around and it was a fresh new environment.

Nellaiappar Temple - Tirunelveli

Moving to the first day when I visited my new school for admission, it was splendid. A New School among a new environment, new stationaries from books to bag and of-course in a new city. I still could remember that day, when I got my notebooks happily packed in my bag and gazing at those tall buildings.

There were many a neighbours around, but only the ppl opposite to our house were really friendly enough. Despite the normal husband and wife, their daughter, a girl aged 3 years more than me was an attracting one (I mean, from someone one who can get an inspiration to aim high in life - - udanae thappaa nenaikka aarumchruveengalae). Her name is Ramya and she s known for her big round eyes. Me and my sister used to study with her and her brother, an year older than me - Rakesh. The reason I created a bit interest in studies and am doing good, despite being weak (ippa mattum nee enna romba padipsaa apdinu neenga kaekrathu theriyuthu - cool), is only because of that sister - Ramya - She is indeed my role model, known for her Sincerity, Hard work and Detemination.

Many a days, we would be watching TV only in their house, seeing this my dad bought a new one SONY - (innum antha TV irukku working statela enga veetla). Days when school gets cancelled half day, we 4 would have lunch together, play together in the evenings etc. BUTTTTTTT, this relationship was only for about 6 to 7 months and we got to move to a new quarters on the other side of the railway station..! Catch u with those memories soon..!
(yaendaa naaye nee valaravae maatiyaa apdinu neraya paer thitruthu theriyuthu - padi padiyaa poavoam bosss..!)

Schooling and Life in Chendur

Having my first year of schooling finished, We had to move from Trichy to one of the lands of Murugan Temple, Chendur town, to stay along with my grandpa(father's father) family. The family has many a siblings of my father and we 4 stayed in a small room.

Chendur Murugan Temple

Those three years of schooling were all about my poor learning, daily walks to school, lunch at home and of-course about my first favourite guru - 'Meena' teacher.
Some days or the other, my dad used to drop me in school in his cycle. One day, I was so adamant to go to school, but my dad made me sit at his cycle back, drove all the way to school despite myself crying throughout. Then he made me get down, caught my hand and pulled me along to the school gate. I was still adamant to step in. My dad asked me in anger, "Padikkaama, enna maadu maekka poriyaa.!". Immediately I stopped crying and said those three heart-touching words "AAM PORAEN PAA.!".
It was indeed very heart-touching for my dad, he immediately left my hand. I thought he would take me home. Apram thaan periya aappu vachanga my daddy. "orae mithi", I fell down. . then he started beating me black and blue. I was crying like hell, then came my life saviour 'Meena' teacher and took me in, consoling my dad. From that moment, I started liking her much and obeyed what all she said. She was indeed very friendly and helping, taught well too. I was so consistent in my studies that time ;-)(Once I failed in a month, immediately next month I got first rank)
There were several other things in those three years, that are always memorable.!
1) Dinners in the terrace with my aunt, hearing her interesting tales.
2) Non-stop playing with other small kids in our family in the backyard.
3) Evening walks along the beach.
4) A day when the mango turned red which I was eating (Tooth fell, blood came)
5) Mom's sweet care and affection.
6) Festival time celebrations.
It was a bit family time when i finished my second standard, so we 4 had to shift to TIRUNELVELI, my favourite place ever.

ChildHood in Trichy - II

Moving along the happy chidhood from 1990 to 1992, there were moments that each one in this world would have got in their childhood. There is not much stuff to write in these two years. My only side-dish for whatever food i in-take as a child was only 'MILK' (for everythin from idli, dosa to chapathi and rice my fav was only Milk)
I was so naughty that time, jumping and running here and there often. Once When my mom was busy cooking, I took a stick and started breaking the switches in the hall. Suddenly my mom came running, as she heared someone shout. It was me...! (Apram udacha switchku ulla kayya vittaa shock adikkaama enna pannumaam) ;-)
Added to this, when I got my first tricycle, I used to ride it like hell (just like now when i ride a bike). One day what happened, I just rode all the way around 2 kms from my home to the main road (!!!!!!!!) everyone were shocked like hell, finally my father getting me back home. My parents used to play carrom and they would not allow me to play (yo know what i would do - I ll stand, then go and sit in the middle of the carrom itself ha ha).

When I was around 3 years old, my sis was born and here are some snaps of myself with her (sorry for such blurred photos). She was very cute..! (isn't it?)

Still could remember the days when I used to get teased by a 8th std guy daily in my rickshaw when I was doing my LKG (oru naal ammaa kitta avana maatti vittu sema thittu vaanga vachaen athu secondary) and also the days when I go with my dad to the stadium, seeing him play shuttle with his friends. :-)

ChildHood in Trichy - I

It is time to move on.Let me write something about my first phase of childhood in Trichy.
My dad, a goods guard in southern railway that time, got his transfer to Trichy. My parents were living along with their gift (naan thaan pa athu) in the Railway quarters. My mom showed all her love to me, in addition to her my bigma and her family showered tons on me too :-) Sonnaa namba maatteenga, naan nallaa sivappaa irunthaenaam appa. I was so so good that time, that I would be allowing everyone to take me in their hands. I bet you, I would have got nearly around 2000 kisses till my first birthday.
And I am too good for my mom as a child, that I would eat all stuff my mom would give (pothuvaa chinna kulanthainga olungaa saapda maattaanga atha mean panraen- ). I can feel what u are thinking right now (ippa theriyuthu intha paya epdi ivlo valanthrukkaan apdinu).K cool.. Then about my first friend......!
Enna friendaa first birthdayku munnaadiyae epdi apdinnu kaekreengalaa?.. He was a friend to me, for only about half an hour, after that he died :-( :-(. My mom left me near the front gate unaware that it is open and went inside to work. I grabbed the opportunity, went out and sat with the ball my mom gave to play. Then my friend came and I was very much surprised by his strange appearance, so started playing with him. After half an hour or so, my dad came and got extremely shocked seeing my friend. He shouted and asked my mom to bring a huge stick,. She did so,then my dad started beating my poor friend black and blue until he died. My first friend lasted for just half an hour.. cha....:-( :-( yaarnu kaekreengalaa athu........ a 6 feet long snake...!!

Nothing doing..! (ll try to post some of my childhood photos if i could snap them properly from the albums in my home)

First Day in my Life

Anyone who reads this post would guess what I am going to share. Let me make it mine. On a fine day after a veggie friday, when a pregnant lady was fast asleep, something woke her up.

She felt it was a heartless guy kicking her from inside, unable to come from darkness. Her pain started increasing more and more. Her relatives took her in a car from her sister's house to Salem that took nearly 4 hours. How that lady would have beared the pain? (The heartless guy had such a cruel nature ;))

Added to it, even after reaching the hospital she could not get her lovable heartless guy out from her very soon. The doctors said "No Normal delivery only Scissarian!". Then Operation went on and by 7pm, a life saw this world. It is....................

a real God, the ultimate lover, a humble sacrificer and a gentle personality. Ya it was my SWEET MOM.

What are u searching for? That heartless guy aah... That stupid came out of darkness and started laughing by 4pm itself. (My mom used to say many a time to me "Nee purakrathukkulla enna paadaa paduthutiya daa") :-(

Days rolled by and every relative who came to see this guy, would never forget one thing in him.. His Big,Big,Big...............................
..............................................................................................HEAD.!

(Catch u soon in my next post, with a lot of humourous things that i did in my childhood)
